Lune Valley Swift Group
Oct 12 @ 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm

After a chilly May prompted later nesting than usual, the weather for our Swifts improved during June and July, and we’re hopeful that they had a successful breeding season. Swifts were still here well into August this year, the last individuals leaving around 22nd or 23rd, and by mid-September the majority would already have made it to central-southern Africa.

A huge thank you to all those who got involved this year with our efforts to help our breeding Swifts by reporting and protecting nest sights and putting up nest boxes. If you have noticed Swifts nesting in any buildings this year, please do let us know.

Our group AGM this year will be at 7.30pm on Tuesday 12th October at The Station Hotel in Caton. It will be a friendly, informal affair so please do come along if you are interested in getting involved.
