Victoria Institute needs a Treasurer


The Victoria Institute is a charity and is run by a group of trustees, currently numbering 8 volunteers but we have space for more. If you would like to join this hardworking group, please contact Peter.

The Institute is looking for someone with financial experience to help with the day to day bookkeeping and accounts. Working with the Community Centre Manager, the key responsibilities are:-

  1. To keep a record of day to day financial transactions
  2. To issue invoices
  3. To pay bills
  4. To check bank statements and reconcile them with the Sage accounting system
  5. To prepare (or have prepared) end of year accounts
  6. To report the financial situation to the trustees regularly (at the monthly meeting if

possible and at least quarterly)

  1. To report on the end of year accounts to the AGM in co-operation with the Secretary to prepare the annual return to the Charity Commission
