Grow Caton!

Grow Caton is growing nicely. There are now three of us growing food in five gardens in Caton and Brookhouse. We have been busy clearing, sowing and planting and have also supported some people with practical tasks in their garden. We welcome anyone who would like to get involved, either by letting us use part of your garden, or us supporting you with the growing (we can help you get started, or come alongside and help you grow your own, or help you with that awkward job). We also welcome anyone with growing skills and a bit of time to spare, to join us. It is a great way to learn from each other and discover new people, new skills and new veggies.

In July we will be looking out for fruit, if you have more fruit than you can pick and eat, then do get in touch and we will help pick and share. We are also hoping to collect some seeds, ready for the seed swap box next season. Do get in touch to find out more about us and what we are doing. You can contact us via Peter Collins at the Victoria Institute, or email directly to growcaton@outlook.com.
