The Countryside Service at Lancashire County Council has been clearing debris and removing hazards such as metal road side fencing. The lifebelts have been replaced. They've checked the oil tank and it will be removed in due course. Moving the silage bales will be done once the ground is firmer. They have inspected the area and can confirm that there is no contamination on the site. A tree surgeon may come in to help get down black wrap from riverside trees. They are planning a volunteer ranger session in the coming weeks to do more to tidy the site. If you would like to be volunteer for the clean-up the person to contact is Tim Blythe Timothy.Blythe@lancashire.gov.uk.
