Craft sessions - for Operation Christmas Child

These sessions are an opportunity to share ideas and produce a variety of items that can be included in the shoeboxes in November. It is an informal gathering where items such as drawstring bags, hats and gloves are sewn, knitted or crocheted for the boxes. There will also be some sessions during this year where will make chalkboards (as we did last year), bracelets, bookmarks and cards. These will be advertised in the notice board on the church boundary.

Our next session is Saturday 22nd April 2pm – 4pm. Come along and enjoy a tea or coffee and exchange ideas.

If you have any old balls of wool you are no longer using or would like to donate wool for our knitters to use this would be very welcome.

If you are not ‘crafty’ but would still like to help, it’s never too early to donate other items such as soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, pens, pencils, rubber, pencil sharpeners, pads, and small toys or puzzles and children of all ages love a cuddly toy, so if you have any that need a loving home, then pass them our way!

We collect items all year round so if you have anything, (all new or as good as new please) you can take it to BMC during the monthly sessions, or any time the church is open (see elsewhere in the link for church activities) or call me to arrange drop off.  Thank you, Sara Tyrer (770962)
