We have finally been assured that Lancashire County Council HAVE agreed to sign the wayleave for Caton Community School! We will be working hard with B4RN to ensure all plans and costings are in place for digging to begin in the spring. Before B4RN allow us to start we will need a certain amount of money in our “pot” through shares or loans. We don’t know yet what the exact sum will be, but we are certainly short of it. Please act now if you have been considering buying shares. Please also go to the catonvillage.org.uk website, find the B4RN page and register your interest if you have not done so.
This project is a community build scheme! B4RN do provide help and support but most of the infrastructure is laid by the community. The roll out speed will be dependent on who steps up to help. This is a DIY project!
Next meeting, February 11th, 8.00pm, The Station Hotel. Come along to find out more and find out how you can help bring world beating broadband into the village of Caton.
